What Mezan does in each part of the pharmacy.
Point of sale and sales
- Hold and resume a sale; pay by cash, card or on credit, or split cash and card once an admin enables it.
- Credit sales to customers, with a customer-balances report.
- Shift management, and returns with a quarantine check for returned goods.
Inventory
- Batches issue earliest-expiry first, and expired stock cannot be sold.
- Serial tracking per pack, stock adjustments, warehouse transfers and item movement.
- Import items from an Excel file with a ready template; the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) drug list ships with the app.
- Weighted average cost, taken before VAT.
Purchases and receiving
- Suppliers, purchase invoices and purchase returns.
- Supplier-invoice receiving reads the invoice QR to fill its header. The read does not verify the stamp.
Finance
- Chart of accounts, safes, receipt and payment vouchers, and expenses.
- Automatic journal entries for sales, purchases, vouchers, expenses, shifts and payroll.
- VAT per line, and a profit and loss report.
HR and payroll
- Employee files, advances and loans with instalments, bonuses and penalties.
- Payroll in draft, approve and pay steps, printed on A4.
- GOSI by employee category and a monthly end-of-service provision under Article 84.
Reports and printing
- Sales, purchases, expenses and payroll.
- Expiry, low stock, stock count and item movement.
- Customer and supplier balances. Reports print from their own screen.
- Thermal receipts at 80 and 58 mm and an A4 invoice, on supported printers only.
Branches
- A central server installed at your premises syncs the branches and receives their sales.
- Item data is managed on the main branch and read-only on the others.
- Shipments between branches with dispatch and accept, and stock requests to another branch, approved or declined.
- Cross-branch stock lookup.
E-invoicing and RSD
- Compliant with e-invoicing Phase 2, for simplified invoices and credit notes (B2C).
- Onboarding with the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) from inside the app, from certificate to renewal, plus a screen for invoices stuck in reporting.
- RSD notifications per pack, and GS1 DataMatrix scanning that fills GTIN, batch, expiry and serial.
Security and backups
- A daily automatic backup, the last 14 kept by default, integrity-checked before any restore.
- Roles per module, an audit log, and invoicing keys in an encrypted vault tied to the machine.
- Signed updates installed from inside the app.
